Ross Hempel, MD, is a board-certified colorectal surgeon dedicated to providing comprehensive, whole-person care to his patients.
Education and Training
Dr. Hempel earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from The University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky.
He completed his extensive surgical training at The University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida, where he finished both his General Surgery Residency and a specialized Colon and Rectal Fellowship.
Originally from Danville, Kentucky, Dr. Hempel completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, earning a degree in Biology.
Personal Interests
Outside of his practice, Dr. Hempel enjoys being a lifelong fan of UK athletics, engaging in outdoor activities, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
